My Favorite Place

Hi Pals,

This is my favorite spot in the apartment.   I like to nap here sometimes and it's great for keeping track of my humans if they go away in the car.  I can see them leave and always greet them at the window when they return.  They wave at me when they walk up the side walk to the door.

M says on this  morning we are having a Tornado Drill.   I've been through that once before and didn't find it too scary.   Some man walks around pushing on a horn that has a rubber ball on the end of it.    When he squeezes the red ball, the horn makes a horrible racket, but he doesn't come into the apartment and do it, so I'm not scared.    M says if it was a real warning, they would put me in the PTU and go down the hall where there is a room with no windows!   Sounds boring to me, but she says that is the safest place to be for such a storm.  But since this is just a practice run today, I get to stay in the apartment.

I survived the first Tornado Drill, so I'll survive this one too.   Apartment life isn't too bad, tho I think I'd still rather we lived in the house where I had lots of room to run around.    I run around here when I chase the Nieko Fly, and sometimes I get a case of the crazies and run from the living room into the bedroom and back again just cuz I feel like it..

Until next time pals,

Mario

Little Bein Visitors

Hi Pals,

What a great Sunday we had.   Two little Beins and their two humans came to visit us, and we had a good time.    The little Bein in the top picture is almost 3 years old, and the little Bein in the bottom picture is almost 1 year old.  They were fun and did NOT pull my tail or ears or anything.   Their human grandma has kitties too so they have learned how to behave around us felines.   The Beins have a big woofie at their house too.  They are growing up learning how to treat animals kindly.   The man human happens to be the brother of our SIL - they are family to us too.   We were honored that they would take time from their very busy schedules to visit us.

Well, pardon me while I get back to my job of napping on this nice Tuesday afternoon.   Thanks for visiting!

Caturday Art Blog Hop - I'm BACK!!

Hi Pals,

Finally, i'm back and here to stay - I hope.   Now it's time to have the peeps put up  with the things I want to do.  Afterall, I put up with what they wanted to do and am still doing it!  (Meaning moving me into some old folks home, where life is really boring.)

The above picture started out like this:
It was really glowing orange because there is a street lamp right outside M's bedroom that glows orange at night.   Even tho the blinds were closed, she could not get rid of the orange color.   So she put it through PhotoShop  Elements 11 and used the "Carmalized" button, which toned down the orange considerably.   That almost gave it a grayed effect, but she liked that better than orange.

From there she went to Pic Monkey and gave it a frame.   She says she could probably do a better job if she could only sit longer in her office chair.  Oh well, this is better than nothing.

Can't wait to see all the other art work on Athena The Cat Godesses Caturday Art blog hop today

It's great to be back everyone.  i've missed you all.   Everything is fine here, although the peeps are still working on selling their house!   More about that later in another post.

King Of My Mini Castle

Hi Pals,

I'm finally back and King of my Mini Castle now.   The move is over and we're all settled in (or so M says).    I think I like it here, but am not sure yet.   The peeps seems happy, so then I'm happy too.     For some reason I've started sticking to M like glue (or so she says).    D used to be my favorite human, but now I'm liking M better and I don't know why.   Maybe I'm still feeling a little unsure about this place.

I am very curious about what lies beyond the door in our apartment.  I had little peeks at a loooong hall going somewhere, but I don't know where.   M said maybe next week she'll put me in my airline carrier and wheel me down the hall so I can see what this place is all about.    There are a few woffies here as I've seen them out the window.   M says this is a pet friendly place and that is why they chose it.

Thanks for sticking around while we "went missing."   The peeps have been exhausted, which has been good for me because I've had lots of lap time.

Until next time,

Mario

Good News / Bad News

Hi Pals,

If I look unhappy in that picture, it's because I am!    I was happy (the good news) because I was outside.  Then the peeps dropped a bombshell on my head (the bad news coming up).   They explained that we/they are selling the house and the three of us are moving to something called a Retirement Center where there is independent and assisted living!  M said it  was good because I can come with them.   She said not too many places will take cats and/or dogs, but this one will.

Well, that news ruined my outside time I tell ya!   I don't want to move.  I like our house with all the familiar smells and my chipmunk, squirrel and birdie friends.   The peeps tell me I'll like it where we're going and we'll all be together.  Well, that together part is nice, but this is the only house I can remember since being adopted.    And, I'm going to be shipped off to sisfur and SIL's house while the movers are coming and going for two days.   Moving day is June 10th - ugh!!

Isn't there some sort of law that peeps can't move while having a kitty live with them?  If not, there sure should be.

Then even worse, M said we probably won't do any blog posts until we have moved and we won't get around to visit except for today and maybe tomorrow.   See why I have a frown on my face and airplane ears?

Sad Mario signing off - until next time.

Not Again!!

Hi Pals,

Well, I got hauled off to the vet again.   I had been throwing up for 2 days - a couple of hairballs and several batches of food.  So of course the human got all worried and off I went to the vet.  Dang, I've got to get faster at getting away from them.

Anyway, I'm happy to report that they gave me a little something to settle down my tummy and sent me home.   The vet lady said if it didn't stop, I should come back and they'd do a blood test and possibly Xrays.

Thankfully, it stopped and I'm back to normal.   Whew!  I have a wonderful vet and everyone at that clinic makes a big fuss over me, but I still don't like going there.  It's scary!

We have a whole bunch of sick kitties pals.   Let's all concentrate on the purrs and prayers for all of them.

Yes...... Is There Something You Wanted?

Hi Pals,

Geeesh - first M interrupts my nap in the sunshine by using that flashy box thing.   Then she can't even aim straight!    Of course her excuse is that she wanted to hurry up and get the picture before I got up and left!  (he he - she knows me well.)

We are all enjoying a beautiful sunshine day with temps  hovering in the high 50's.   Life is good!   One day soon I'm hoping a window will be opened for me and maybe even the patio door.   I asked today, but M said the air was a little too cool yet.   That's her opinion.   She should go put a jacket on and then it wouldn't be too cool.

My pal Spooky (http://www.15andmeowing.com/) isn't doing that great.  He sure could use some more healing purrs, pawprayers, healing vibes, and anything else that works for you.   His human is very worried and of course loves him so much.

We hope you have a great weekend.  It's going to be a beauty here with temps hitting 70 by Sunday. Woohoo.  I think I'll start working on M and D to take me outside that day.

Until next time,

Mario
