Catching Up Time on Awards - Liebster Award

Hi Pals,


Today is the day that M and I are doing a twin post - in other words, my bloggy will say the same thing as her bloggy because we each received the Liebster Blog award.   

"Liebster" means favorite or beloved in German, and this award helps to draw attention to blogs that aren't too well known.

Here are the rules for this award:

Upon receipt of the award, one is to:

1) Link back to the blogger who gave it

2) Paste the award on the blog

3) Choose 5 blogs to pass this award to (they must have fewer than 200 followers)

4) Let the recipients know about their nomination by leaving a comment on their blogs.

I got my Liebster award from Abby at @Manxmnews over a month ago.  Thank you  Abby, I do appreciate it.  Sorry it took me so long to pass it on (glaring at M for being so slow).   M received it just recently from Prudence over at A Coonhound's Tales.   Therefore, we are taking 5 blogs from my list and 5 from M's blog list.  This same information will be posted in M's Parkinson's blog.

Catching up Time on Awards

Hi Pals,


I got a few awards in the past couple of months, but my ooman has been too busy to help me pass them on - or so she says.   Humpf!  She says it's cuz I keep her too busy with Twitter stuff - likely excuse!  Anyway, I cornered her and made her promise to start today.


There are some of us that just get one award after another, so I'd like to present my awards to those that don't have many followers or get many awards.   


(Hanging head in shame because this is so late)   Anyway The Shining Star Award was given to a few of us bloggers by http://zoolatry.blogspot.com/2012/01/maggy-monday.html way over a month ago.  


M and I would like to pass this Award on to a blog called Crippies Corner, owned by a young lady who has had to live with a debilitating, painful disease she was born with.  But, who, in spite of her pain, continues to write a cheerful blog.   It just so happens Nicole also has adorable Guinea Pigs.   So please go over and say hello to Nicole.   Or follow her on Twitter at @icanhasdesign.

Bright Star Blue Sky Award

The Bright Star Blue Sky Award was given to me by my handsome friend George Clooney over at http://iblogfornum-nums.blogspot.com/2011/11/we-wish-for.html.   I'm supposed to tell you my wish for the world:


I wish that everyone in the world would spay and neuter their pets so maybe some day we wouldn't need anipal shelters.  I also wish that every homeless anipal in a shelter would find a forever home like me and most of my pals have.

Thankful Thursday Blog Hop - TomCatSamurai Preliminary Wrap-up

Right after I published my blog, I found @PepiSmartDog had published an update in his blog.  Here it is:   http://pepismartdog.com/?p=1235.  He will have the most up to date information.


I am so thankful for all my friends in Twitterland and Blogosphere.   You always come thru to help when one of our own are hurting.   You just did it again for @TomCatSamurai.   And just prior to Tom you came through for Robyn (GeorgeTheDuck's typist).   Both have a chance at a "new start" due to your generosity.

The Chip-in for Tom doesn't end until January 31st and has raised $2,672.50; the Art Auction over at KrauseKats is still going strong at $110 being the top bid so far on the figurine, designed by TomcatSamurai, and  an auction for the Boone and Bourke (gently used bucket handbag) is still active at http://chipin.com/tomcatsamurai $111.00.  So, if anyone  wants to still get in on these items, you can do so until January 31, 2012.


Last report from Tom was that they have found an apartment close to where they currently live, have paid the first and last month's rent, and are taking their kitties with them.     WOOHOO!!!   That is super good news!


I've said it before so many times - the anipal group in the blog world and on Twitter is just awesome - you did it AGAIN.   


I'm sure @PepiSmartDog will publish a wrap-up in his blog once all the chip-ins have ended.


From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who made the AlohaPawty a successful event.   Tom is so very appreciative - we saved Tom and his mom from becoming homeless!

Finally It's A HIT

Hi Pals,


First off - the  Chip-in's for @TomCatSamurai are still open and active.   So there is still time to donate to his cause if you wish to.   I'll give an update on his situation in a later post.  

Remember the Neko Flies I talked about December 7th before Catmas?    If you remember, I said it was a MISS cuz I didn't care that much for them.   


Well, I've  changed my mind about 2 days after I wrote that post.   It's a BIG HIT!

"Come here fly - just a little lower!"

"Ahhh - Gottcha"

Sometimes I grab him in my mouth and run away with him, dragging M behind. Then I hide him under the table.  

Other times I leap from this position 3 feet in the air to catch him.   M and D have tried to get a picture of me leaping at him, but I'm too quick for the camera.   By the time the slow flashy box thing takes my picture, my feet are back on the floor again just like in the picture above.   M has never seen me do that trick before I got the Neko Fly.   


Sometimes M swings the fly round and round in a circle and I chase it, catching him more often than not.   

"Catching flies is exhausting work!"

M has no sympathy for me either.  She says I get to lay down on the job while her back is killing her standing around playing with me or watching me rest.  Well M - just suck it up!  Someone has to play with me and D just doesn't do it right!


I just simply LOVE Neko Flies.  They are so much FUN!
