Help Pals!
I'm being held hostage in my house. Yes, I know, it's Thankful Thursday and I should be thankful for something. I really am thankful for my peeps, but right this minute it's hard to do when I'm being held hostage. I am, however, very thankful for our big box outside that keeps us cooled. I think it's called air conditioning.
Like everywhere else in the US, we're sweltering in the heat (93 in the shade yesterday with a new point of 80). For pitty sake, M only opens a window for me two times a day - early morning and again at bedtime - I get a whole 1 hour each time to sit in the window. It's really not enough window whiffing time.
The worst part is that I am not even allowed to go outside. The big excuse is that it's too HOT! Hiss! Well, it isn't too hot for me cuz I could curl up under a bush in the shade. But the silly humans think it's too hot for them to go out with me. It's a rough life here pals.
Could someone come over and help me break out of this jail!

Oh Mario, I hate to tell you this, but the Peeps are probably right, it is way too hot to go outside. But it isn't any fun to be in jail either. So we hope you get out of there. Give your Mom and Dad our very best and tell Mom we really need to go dancing pretty soon. Take care.
We have the hots, too. We don't even go out into the catio through the daytime. Thank toona your peeps know the impawtance of fresh window whiffies!

It's just as hot here. Mario, you're an indoor cat so you should stay indoor. That's my motto. There are too many evils outside for us even on a leash. If you MUST do out, maybe your peeps can take you late at night or early morning when they'd open the window. My peeps are being held hostage. They can't make the 2 mile walk to the supermarket in this heat and they don't have a car.

It's hot here too but we always have to stay inside the cool box so we think you'll find it much better than being out in the heat!
You get whiffin' windows twice a day? You're so lucky! I only get whiffin' windows once in a blue moon.

Mario, you could not be any cuter even though you're in jail. Our mom gets all crazy about kitties standing on their hind legs. Do you have a new header? I am grounded for life, and never allowed outside! So you are lucky you get to go out at all, Mario.
P.S. It has been pretty hot here in southern California, but nowhere near as bad as the rest of the country!
Poor Mario! Oh, wait.... you get to go out sometimes? The only time I get to go out is when I take things into my own paws and _sneak_ out. My advice is to make the best of things. Enjoy the cool air inside while it lasts and look forward to going out when the heat lets up. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrs.

It was too hot for us on the deck today. Our fur puts us cats at a real disadvantage.

I'm sorry Mario, that you can't go outside. But it is really hot! Your pawrents don't want you to melt in the heat. And it's great you do get window whiffies :-) Hopefully some cooler air is coming sometimes!

I know how you feel. It's so hot here too and I have to stay indoors as well. But maybe that's not so bad because it is hotter outside than in and all I want to do is nap anyway. I haven't the energy to do anything.

Oh Mario! We sure do feel for you. We can't go outside either, but it's because the darn rain won't stop. But, even if it did, we live in Florida and it is way too hot this time of year for us to be outside, despite how much we try to convince the humans otherwise.

Aw poor kitty! It's funny but one of my old kitties refused to come in the house when summer came around. I don't really blame her though. It felt better out there than in the house last summer.
Ah, Mario, we feel for you. It's tough to be a prisoner. But it really is too hot outside.
