Sometimes It's Hard To Be Thankful

Hi Pals,

It's really hard to be thankful when your Christmas Tree went from this

to this:

Geeesh, I can't even lay under it this year.  I always loved laying under the Christmas Tree.

M says that I need to be thankful that we are all still together.   Not too many apartments for the elderly will allow pets, but this one will take cats and small doggies!    I guess she's right - I am thankful we are all together and that I can join Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

But, I can still miss our old tree can't I?

Mario

It could be worse. At our house the kitties like to lay under the tree, but now the puppy wants to lay there too, and she pesters the kitties so much, they can't lay there.

I'm sorry you miss your big tree Mario but I agree, being with M and D is a super thing to be thankful for. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

We think it is LOVELY!! The size of the tree doesn't matter, it is the size of your HEART that does and in your furmily's case your hearts are HUGE!! xoxoxo catchatwithcarenandcody

I think that's a lovely tree, Mario, and it has colored lights, that makes it even more festive. Granny once had one that was smaller and didn't had lights at all, but she says it's the spirit that counts, not the tree. Pawkisses for a Happy Thankful Thursday :) <3

Mario, we think you ought to give it a try and lay under that little tree. :)

Mario, we're glad you all are together. Plus, we like your little tree very much! We haven't had a tree in eons. Last year Mom got brave and put out the little tabletop Charlie Brown tree we have, but of course someone batted the one red ornament right off it.

Oh, that tree is a bit too small to lie under. But your mom is right, the important thing is that you're all together. Please remind her that they sell large stockings that you could lie on, and some are really plushy and comfy (until it's filled, of course)

I think you're new tree is pretty, Mario. I'm sure you do miss laying under it though. Tell you what; I'll lay under mine for you if we ever get one.

Interestingly, WE are having a debate this year about a tree. TBT wants a little 3' fake one with lights built in. WE want a huge 7' real one that he spends 3 hours decorating.

We are sure WE will win. He doubts that, but is offerring a 4' one with some real decorations. WE are holding firm for a real 7' one. HE says we can buy one iffen we want and get it home.

Hmmm...

That is one really good thing to be thankful for, and that is that you are all together. WE think that tree is just dandy. Maybe you can lie beside it. Lots less work to have a nice small tree. You all have a wonderful day.

Mario, we went to a table top tree back in 2008 when Opie was a baby and decided he had to climb that tree and knock Mom's antique ornaments to the ground. We've added several fursibs to our family, and as Mom doesn't want to risk losing her antique ornaments...she put a pink tree on a table and adds a village around it. So far only Dori has been rearranging the figurines. I guess she thinks she has more artistic talent than Mom does. Purrs! Herman!!!

It's OK to miss your old tree, Mario. But your parents are also right. Being all together is much more important! That is something to be truly grateful for!

Aww, we can understand why you miss your old tree, Mario. We're sorry.

But we do like your new tree, and are happy you and M still get to be together. Love and togetherness are the best gifts of all.
