Oh Noooo, Not Again!

Hi Pals,

I got dragged off to the vet place again - the ER Vet place this time.   M was all worried because I had been throwing up so much again, and she couldn't get it to stop.   I was also acting like I just didn't feel good; no spirt in me, just laying around sleeping too much -  all those things we cats do that is normal!

My own vet is closed on Sundays, but they have an ER Vet really close to our apartment (darn it all!)   Tomorrow we're supposed to get freezing rain and snow, and M was getting all nervous that she couldn't get me to the vet to get me checked over.  Calm down lady, I've been trying to tell you that my tummy is a little upset - that's all!!   These humans just don't listen.

Anyway, the Vet doctor told her the same thing basically.  If I don't get better, they will probably send me to Appleton (where sisfur and SIL live) to get an ultra sound done of the tummy.   But he said he's not too worried about that now.   He's thinking my problem might be more food related.     So he's going to talk to my vet and have her recommend a high protein diet to see if that helps.   I guess there will be no more Fancy Feast for me!!!!   My tummy already doesn't like chicken, and I don't like the taste of beef, and now I may have a intolerance for fishy foods.  Yikes - what's left?  Stay tuned!

In the meantime, I'm available for invitations for dinner at your house cuz there is nothing good at mine!

Until next time,

Mario

Mario, what a way to spend the weekend! We all hope you can find something tasty AND get better. Your mom and dad must be very worried about you, so get better, pal!

Oh no, Mario. I'm sorry to hear this. I hope there's a yummy food that also helps you feel better. I have no idea if this will help you, but Annie had a similar problem (although she wasn't feeling as bad as you) about two months ago and the vet put her on Hills I/D. It helped a lot. I realize this may not even be your issue but just wanted to share.

Mario, we're sorry you've been having tummy problems, and especially that you had to go to the vet again. We have our paws crossed that you all can figure this out real soon. <3

You get right on over here. You can sleep with me and mommy at night, and I have some Royal Canin you can try and believe me. Mom is VERY experienced cleaning up multiple horks!

Poor Mario! You may have a food intolerance but it could be from one of the other ingredients in the food. If you're intolerant to chicken, there is chicken in practically everything if you read the ingredients closely. Even the FF grilled tuna I eat contains chicken. FF also contains wheat gluten which many cats are intolerant to. You might try a grain-free diet. We have some good stuff have if you're innerested.

BTW, concats on your (and Pop's) Packers! So glad they beat the evil Cowboys.

You might look at single ingredient foods, like duck, lamb or rabbit. Some kitties develop food intolerances. I'm sending purrs your way, Mario!

That's a bummer, Mario. We hope they can figure it out and you feel much better soonest. We would invite you over but we eat a lot of chicken around here. Maybe we could round up some snails or frogs' legs if you would like to try????

Purrs,

Poor Mario. There are lots of kinds of foods like venison and rabbit that you could try. Maybe you eat too fast, Joanie yacks when she eats too fat which is quite often.I hope you feel better soon. XO

Mario, I'm sorry you were feeling & acting so poorly that you had to go to the emergency vet. I had to do that last weekend and it was not fun. But having the pukies for a long time can leave you dehydrated, so I think it was wise of your Mom to take you in.
If you can't have fish or chicken, you might want to try the foods I eat. Pride by Nature Rascally Rabbit and Lovebug Lamb. There are two other rabbit and lamb foods, they're just flaked instead of minced. They've worked wonders for my fish/chicken allergies and maybe they will help settle your tummy. I know Petco sells them and you can order it online from Petco or from Chewy (I get it from chewy because it's the least expensive).
I hope your tummy settles down and you're feeling better soon.

We're sorry you weren't feeling good, Mario. Don't tell George I said this, but there is duck based food for sensitive tummies. Just please don't eat George. ;)

Well come on by our house, pal! Brofur Phinny has food allergies and can only eat lamb and rabbit. M complains about the cost but what can she do? She loves her boys. And they're willing to share!

OMC Mario... that's to bad, my furriend and we hope that changing your diet is as helpful for you as it was for me. I threw up a lot until Granny changed my food too. I only eat natural now and never had throwing up again...besides some hairballs, but I see that more as a gift for Granny...MOL :D Healing Pawkisses for a speedy recovery :) <3

That's a rum deal, Mario! I hope you can find some food that suits you ok! xxx

Gosh Mario that sounds a lot like how I was for a long while. My vet put me on prescription Hills for digestive issues and guess what - it worked......I didn't throw up and the food was pretty darn yummy too! Maybe the protein diet will help you though so just "go along with the program" - throwing up isn't fun (!!!) so whatever they want you to try......do! I'll be sending positive energy to you from my cloud at the Bridge buddy.

Hugs, Angel Sammy

Hi Mario, me again.
I don't know if Pride by Nature Rascally Rabbit and Lovebug Lamb are particularly high protein, but they don't have fish or chicken.
Kangaroo sounds interesting!
