Merry Crissymas 2012

Fake New Tree - not big enough for me!

Merry Crissymas dear friends,

This year my peeps decided to get a smaller tree so they could get it downstairs easier when they take the ornaments off.    They like to keep the lights on for storage, but take the fancy ball things off and beads.   I volunteered to bat the round ornaments down the steps for them.  That would be easier for them - right?

Well, they won out and bought a new tree.  As you can see, I don't like the new tree as much as the old tree  from last year.  They had the nerve to buy this stinky little 4 1/2 foot fake tree.   I did manage to crawl under it once, but I left once M got the flashy box out.  The old tree fit me just right!
Last year's tree fits me better!

I just don't understand why I can't have the old tree back. Why do the dang oomans always want something new?   Sigh!  I just don't get it! The old tree was a purrfect fit for me.  I could sleep and nap under all of the branches.    Now I have those picky needles poking me all over.   Sigh!   I'm so deprived.

Now I need to apologize for not being around to visit.  It's all M's fault again.   M says she just don't move as fast as she once did and can't get everything in anymore.  But, she promises that after the holidays we'll get back to normal and at least visit everyone twice a week.

Merry Crissymas friends from our house to your house.

Mario

We've joined the Saturday Blog Hop.  Why don't you too cuz it's fun and you always meet a new anipal or two.

I agree - I hate it when humans change things that are working just fine! The new tree is pretty, but you are right, Mario, the old tree fit you much better!

Mario, we don't even GET a tree! We'd take one at any size. Mommy says there's something bad about a tree and 13 cats...blah blah blah. She's just mean. We bet she gets COAL.

Mario, that's a pretty tree. And at least you still sort of fit underneath it. Guess you'll just hafta make due!

We wish you and your peeps a very Merry Christmas!

Last year (and the year before), we had NO tree. So we are all pretty pleased to see tree this year. We're a little peeved coz there's no pressies under the tree. Hrrrumppf. Mommy says our pressies are on the way from the USA and will most likely arrive after Christmas but it'll get here. We'll see!

Mario, I don't get any tree. My Mummy doesn't celebrate Chrissymouse. But I think YOUR tree, even though it is small, is bee-you-ti-ful!
And Mummy and I wish you a Merry Chrissymouse.

You are a lucky cat, we don't get to see the Christmas tree. Simba likes to nom on the fake tree and den barf up da plastic needles. So da tree goes up da day before Christmas eve and comes down the day after Christmas and we are locked in da bedroom for those days. phhht! Purry Christmas to you!

Mario, we have a tiny little tree that is only a foot high and we usually don't have a tree at all.
Mario, give your mom a huge hug for us. It is so hard when we all get a little older. We think she does really well to do as much as she does. A very Merry Christmas to all of you.

We get a new tree every year! We will have to say goodbye to our current tree after the first of the year and then our woofie Grete will hunt for a new one next year.

Dearest Mario,
My heart bleeds for you. How can they expect you to enjoy your Christmas without a tree to snuggle under. On the other hand you don't live at my house were our tree is an eight inch ornament and I get yelled at if I go anywhere near it. I'm thinking of pack it in here and going on the road, want to join me? MOL

Mario, I know what you mean about the humans always changing things! We kitties like things to stay the same and see NO need to ever change anything, ever.

That being said, your new tree is very nice and maybe you could give it a chance.

My peeps get a real one every year and this year it's in dront of my cat tree. I was not happy but today TW finally made Pop relocate my cat tree. Have a wonderful Christmas! Loved your card. I didn't know you could personalize hallmark cards.

We have a teeny fake tree--it's all metal curlicues and stuff--not even fun to lay under if I COULD fit! Anyway, we hope you have a warm and cozy Christmas! XOXOXO

PS: We has not been so good about visiting lately either. We'll do better!

About no windowsills: Home project stores have very nice decorative wood shelves that would seem to work well as windowsills. ~ TBT

It's still a very pretty tree, Mario. But... I would say... that since you've had to sacrifice your old tree... any time saved putting away this new one should be used for scritches and tummy rubs. Sound fair? purrs
