Caturday Art Blog Hop with Athena - 2

Hi Pals,

It's time for the  Caturday Art Blog Hop with Athena again.   M was playing around again with another effect in Photoshop Elements - it's call the Difference Cloud.   Hmmmm. Doesn't look like a cloud to me, but it is different!   M likes the effect, but not so well for a cat!   So now she has some ideas for creating a header for her own bloggy at some point.

The colors are rather pretty - just not for a cat.  I don't look anything like that.  Here's the original she worked from.
It's kind of interesting to see the art project and wonder why it turned out blue?   What - Where did that come from!

We like your picture. It's different. Quite different from what you actually look like. And we've often wondered the same thing when we've done an effect in Photoshop Elements - where did the blue come from? But it makes a nice effect.

That is very cool! And I adore your animal print lounger!

Mario, could you ask your mom to email me at melissa0908@hotmail.com? She won A Dollhouse to Die For on my blog :)

The Difference Cloud filter is actually really good for creating clouds in a sky that has none... or wherever you want a cloud-like texture. If you look closely, you can see the "clouds in some of the areas of your photo, Mario. If you put a solid color on a separate layer on top of the photo, use the Difference Cloud filter a couple of times on that layer, and set its Blend Mode to Multiply, you might come up with some interesting effects!

The blue might be the sky where the clouds are? Cool effect. It’s kinda like a negative.

Our mommy thinks that effect is terrific. She says that for some reason it reminds her of "Phantom of the Opera." XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
