We've had leaky eyes last night and again this morning because that sweet @BunnyJeanCook crossed the OTRB this morning.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to her ooman mom and ooman sisfur for their loss. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her her.
BJ was my very first bunny friend and taught me so much bunnies - to the point where M said if she were 20 years younger she'd have a bunny too
BJ is a legend on Twitterville, Blogosphere, and FaceBook for:
- Keeping us all posted on Animal Rights and Abuse cases in her blog.
- Teaching us about rabbits - how to handle, how to care for, etc.
- Featuring bunnies that needed homes in her blog and tweeting too.
- Her charity work for animals in all three spheres and locally in her
local community.
- Her involvement in every #pawpawty since it's conception 2++ years ago
- Her involvement with DJing at #nipclub, #pawparties, #weddings,
#anniversaries, fund raisers, and any other occasion she was asked to DJ
for.
You name it, and BJ was always there, involved, and willing to do whatever she could do to help..
Oh, and one last thing BJ is a legend for - her costumes for #pawparties and events. This is my favorite:
Isn't she bootiful as Lady Gaga. She had so many other great ones too. Whenever a #pawpawty came around, I couldn't wait to see how BJ would be dressed for it. So many good memories of her.
The day started out so sad, but I wandered over to Twitter to be with my pals. Was I ever glad I did because @GeorgeTheDuck and @Kittehboi were DJing many of the songs BJ played in her sets. Pretty soon @CathyKeisha joined in. Then BJ herself played a couple of songs on Twitter. You can't imagine how happy I was to see that. As I write this @Pandafur just finished her set and coming on is @Flicka47, and there will probably be others joining in as the night goes on. What a tribute to a great bunny. The music did not stop with BJ's passing, her tunes live on forever too.
BJs mom did say in BJ's blog that BJ would still keep her blog up, with her mom's help of course, and she will still DJ at #pawparties, as will her mom. That just makes my heart all warm and toasty. They will continue on with all their good work as they have in the past, only BJ probably won't tweet as herself on Twitter. But her mom @VSCook will tweet as herself, not as BJ.
My day has ended on a much happier note, and I hope yours has too.
We love you BJ! Farewell for now - we'll meet again someday.
